| BusinessMail has been our key product from way back in the mid-90s. The need for a more advanced e-mail system became apparent to several of our customers as the volume of e-mail increased from year to year, especially in the shipping industry, where e-mail contains business-critical information. A number of our customers currently handle up to 5 – 10,000 incoming e-mails daily, and some of Norway's most well-known shipping companies are among our customers.
Role-based e-mail BusinessMail is based on using common inboxes, in addition to the personal e-mail address you are assigned as an employee of a company. BusinessMail is the tool you use to communicate with the rest of the world based on your function (role) in the organisation. In larger departments this has some clear advantages, where all communication and interaction is made available to the entire department. This way you interact as a unit rather than an individual.
Secure interaction By using BusinessMail for role-based interaction you can rest assured that data will not be deleted. Functionality in BusinessMail prevents the user from changing or deleting content, as the system does not permit this type of operation.
Business-related e-mail BusinessMail used for business-related e-mail ensures that important messages always land in one and the same system for further handling. Important messages never land in the personal inbox of the user, but rather in the department where the employer has his/her role. All those with the same rights can thus share and interact on the same content.
Advanced categorisation
Some of the core functionality of BusinessMail is based on categorising and structuring e-mail. For this, specially developed functionality, called BusinessRules, is used. This is a set of rules for automatic distribution of messages and entry of additional information. This functionality is used to distribute e-mail so that the messages are presented to the right role or department.
Work flow
BusinessMail includes work flow elements; you can add a status to a message, and you can notify other users about important messages and that action must be taken in this regard. This way you can improve the flow in terms of collaborating with business connections.
Search
BusinessMail is delivered with its own extended search capabilities in message archives. The archives can be configured to archive messages at fixed intervals, for example, once a month, quarter and/or year. The archives are fully text-indexed, enabling search of whole sentences, words or phrases. The search also reports findings in email attachments.
